My family has been working with Christine over the past five years. My little girl has always been bright but dyslexia made reading and writing an obstacle in her life. At a very young age this affected her grades which, in turn, affected her confidence tremendously. She concluded that she wasn't 'smart' and became very hard on herself which was heartbreaking. The hard work by Christine and my daughter, along with the support of my entire family, has brought back her confidence. In grade 6 she was awarded the most improved student and by grade 7 she received honours for high grades. She is fully engaged and now enjoys school. Of course challenges still exist but we have the tools to navigate them; she is using strategies, advocating for herself, and is self-aware of learning differences. Christine has been a stable presence in my daughter's life through two schools and a divorce. She is a leader in the Dyslexia community and is as dedicated an individual as I've ever met. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
